State police/constitution amendment: NASS gives 36 state assemblies 30 days to respond

The National Assembly has transmitted the State Police Establishment Bill to the Houses of Assembly of the 36 states for consideration. The assemblies are expected to review the bill and communicate their resolutions within 30 days. At least 24 states must approve the bill before it can be sent to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assent.
