Representatives of students from Goma and Bukavu submitted a memorandum to the government requesting the lifting or postponement of the suspension of academic activities, calling the measure 'suicidal.' They argue that this suspension, imposed due to the security crisis linked to the AFC/M23, undermines their right to education and exposes youth to precariousness. Meanwhile, a group of intellectuals has launched a petition against appointments in public universities under M23 control.
