Sudan: 80 civilians killed in drone strike as they returned from market

A drone attack killed 80 people on Sunday, October 18, in Al-Dibab, in West Kordofan state, as residents waited for trucks at a bus station near a market. Witness Ahmed Abakar Wadi said he helped bury 50 victims, including his brother; 47 injured people were evacuated, and 30 later died. The Sudan Founding Alliance, known as Tasis, accused the Sudanese army of deliberately targeting civilians in two strikes about ten minutes apart, with the second hitting as people tried to help the first victims. The allegations have not been independently verified, and the army had not publicly responded at the time of initial reports.
