Sudan Approves $139 Million Proposal to Combat Malaria, Tuberculosis, and HIV/Aids

Sudan approved a comprehensive national proposal worth $139,298,699 to combat malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS during a meeting at the UNDP headquarters in Red Sea State. Health Minister Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim stated that malaria control remains a top national priority. The proposal was developed with input from civil society, the National Medical Supplies Fund, UN agencies, and Sudanese experts. The grant will secure medicines for the three diseases across all states of Sudan and has been submitted to the Global Fund.
