Sudan: Arbitrary Detention By Army, Security Forces

Forces affiliated with the Sudanese Armed Forces have arbitrarily detained, tortured, and otherwise ill-treated civilians in areas under their control, denying them due process rights. These detentions are often based on ethnic identity, political affiliation, or humanitarian work. Human Rights Watch reported cases of deaths due to torture and called on authorities to end these abuses and ensure access for independent investigators.
