Suicide at the TER descent: Ablaye Thiam jumps into the canal and dies instantly

Ablaye Thiam, a 36-year-old merchant from Kaolack, committed suicide by jumping into a canal in Bargny after ingesting caustic soda. Police found his lifeless body on August 3, with scratches and traces of mud. His friend, M. A. Faye, stated that Thiam was suffering from abdominal pain and had expressed a desire to die due to the difficulties in his life.
