Suliman Carrim 'spotted at mall'

North West businessman Suliman Carrim was allegedly seen having lunch and shopping at a Western Cape mall on Tuesday, despite submitting a doctor's note claiming he was unwell for the Madlanga Commission. He failed to appear at the hearing on Wednesday. Lead evidence advocate Matthew Chaskalson noted that Carrim still hasn't provided financial statements for his companies Ziggy, Tasmica, and Tameez, which have received hundreds of millions of rand in government contracts. Carrim is implicated in an alleged money laundering scheme involving Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and Hangwani Maumela, and had lent R10 million to Medicare24.

The party cites media reports that Habila was brought from Kaduna State to Ebonyi by one of Umahi's aides on June 26, 2026, before being found dead the next morning. The APM demands an open investigation to address legitimate questions about the circumstances of her death.
