Super Eagles: Osayi-Samuel pulls out of Russia friendly - Daily Post Nigeria

Bright Osayi-Samuel, an established Super Eagles player, has withdrawn from Nigeria’s friendly against Russia scheduled for October 6. He joins captain Wilfred Ndidi and FC Basel defender Akpe Victory, who are also out due to injury. Ndidi and Victory have been replaced by John Oromewo and Vince Osuji. The Super Eagles arrived in Moscow on Friday for the match, following a 1-1 draw in their first-ever senior international meeting with Russia in June 2025.
