Super Falcons: PSG confirms Rasheedat Ajibade will undergo surgery after injury

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Rasheedat Ajibade will undergo surgery after fracturing her fibula while on international duty with Nigeria. The injury occurred against Comoros in the second leg of the second qualifying round for the 2028 Olympic Games, played in Ikenne. Ajibade was replaced by Folashade Ijamilusi in the 23rd minute as the Super Falcons went on to win 5-0. PSG said the club’s surgeons will perform the operation and that Ajibade will then begin rehabilitation with its medical team; her recovery timeline will be announced later.
