Supreme Court orders lawyers to comply with directive on digital filing of cases

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has ordered all legal practitioners with cases scheduled between September and December 2026 to upload all relevant court documents through the Nigerian Case Management System (NCMS). Chief Registrar Kabir Eniola Akanbi stated that this complies with Rule 10(1) of the Supreme Court Practice Direction 2026. Lawyers must submit records of appeal, briefs, motions, and other filed processes no later than 30 days before the hearing date. The directive aims to ensure seamless operation of the NCMS and efficient case determination.
