Suspected Kidnappers Attack Kaduna Estate and Abduct Residents

Suspected kidnappers attacked Nuru Suraj Estate in Kaduna’s Millennium City area early Tuesday and reportedly abducted about six people. Resident Maman Hamid said the attackers entered through the estate’s second gate; military personnel pursued them and rescued some victims, while the kidnappers escaped. The number rescued and the whereabouts of those still missing had not been established by publication time. The attack renewed concerns about security at Millennium City estates, following recent abductions and the reported October 12 arrest of eight suspected kidnappers and four alleged informants.
