Suspected of stealing a minister's glasses, four journalists regain their freedom

Four journalists, François Essomba, Igor Gwet Bibey, Solange Djuikam, and Pierre Mouchili, were arrested on September 16 while covering an event in Yaoundé, suspected of stealing glasses belonging to Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey. The glasses were found the next day in the minister's vehicle, but the journalists were kept in custody under suspicion of unauthorized intrusion. After five days of detention, they were released on September 21.
