Suspects who raped underage children won't escape prosecution - Abia govt

The Abia State government has vowed to prosecute the perpetrators who raped five minors and one adult. A 10-year-old girl who survived the rape has undergone surgery at the Nchedo Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, reported that seven cases of gender-based violence were recently recorded, involving minors and adult women. He assured that the state is committed to bringing the perpetrators of these acts to justice.
