Symbolic funerals held in Nepal for missing flood victims

Nepalese families held symbolic funerals for their missing relatives following the devastating floods on August 26. According to Hindu tradition, these ceremonies aim to liberate the souls of the presumed deceased. Over 1,200 people were killed and about 4,750 remain missing due to this disaster, which destroyed villages and infrastructure in the Himalayan region.
