The Syndicate of Doctors of Congo (SYMECO) called on Monday, July 13, for the Government to engage in sincere and direct dialogue to end the strike paralyzing public health services in the DRC. SYMECO Secretary General Dr. Juvénal Muanda regretted the lack of concrete progress after meetings on June 23 and July 7. The union demands the integration of supplementary pay for the third quarter of 2026, payment of arrears, and resumption of the occupational risk allowance. Despite the strike, SYMECO remains committed to social dialogue.
