Syria: Back to School Amid Insecurity and Precarity

In Syria, students are returning to school amid insecurity and hardship. Eight-year-old Tasnim walks several kilometers daily to attend school, as her family returned to Damascus two years ago due to the war. The family lives in difficult conditions with damaged walls and no electricity, and Tasnim helps her father in his shoemaking work after school.
