Syria-Jordan border reopens amid probe into deadly air strikes

Nassib, the only border crossing between Jordan and Syria, is set to reopen on Wednesday morning to passenger and commercial traffic after a brief closure. The strikes, carried out in response to a deadly shooting at a Greek Orthodox church in Karak, killed at least seven people in Deraa and Suwayda, including five members of one family, three of them children. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi expressed deep regret over the civilian deaths and said the attacks aimed to neutralise confirmed threats to Jordan.
