Since May 15, the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has infected 2,071 children under 18, with 961 deaths, nearly half of all cases. Children under five account for 623 deaths, with a fatality rate of 61%. The total confirmed cases rose from 6,604 to 8,116 in three weeks, and most recent deaths occurred in communities rather than treatment centers, highlighting the urgent need to improve healthcare access and public information.
