Tambuwal: Tinubu should campaign on his record, not past support for northern leaders

Aminu Tambuwal, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), criticised President Bola Tinubu for citing his past support for Muhammadu Buhari, Nuhu Ribadu and Atiku Abubakar instead of defending his record. Speaking at the ADC presidential campaign launch in Sokoto State, the former governor said Tinubu had failed to deliver on promises concerning electricity, security and infrastructure. Tambuwal described Nigeria as regressing amid hunger, poverty and killings, and urged voters to back Atiku and ADC candidates in January 2027 and remain at polling units until votes are counted and results declared.
