Tanganyika: Munono Sector Lacks Water and Hospitals

The Munono sector, 60 km from Kongolo-Center in Tanganyika province, lacks access to potable water and hospitals. Residents have to travel 5 to 7 km to the Lwika River to fetch water, often waking up late at night, and a woman recently drowned while searching for water. They also need to travel about 30 km to Kibangula village for healthcare, as there are no maternity or reference hospitals in their area. The Lwika River has no bridge, only boats, making emergency access even more difficult.
