Tanzania: The husband of President Samia Suluhu Hassan has died

Hafidh Ameir Hassan, the husband of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, passed away on Monday in Zanzibar while undergoing treatment for a heart condition. Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi announced the news and extended condolences to the family. Samia Suluhu Hassan, currently in her second term, has lost a lifelong companion, and several African heads of state have expressed their sadness and condolences.
