Taraba Insecurity: Zing Jubilee and Lamdo Gashaka Anniversary Postponed

Authorities in Taraba State have postponed Zing Local Government Area’s golden jubilee and the 10th anniversary of Lamdo Gashaka over security concerns. The events, scheduled for October 29 and 31, 2026, were delayed following a recent security breach in Binari, Karim-Lamido, and amid military operations near Gashaka-Gumti National Park. The state security committee said the postponements are intended to protect guests, traditional rulers, government officials and the public while security agencies complete their operations. It urged residents to remain calm, obey the law and provide credible information to security agencies.
