Taraba moves to arrest, prosecute owners of straying livestock in Jalingo

The Taraba State Government has announced plans to arrest and prosecute livestock owners whose animals roam freely within Jalingo metropolis due to the environmental, sanitation, and traffic risks posed. Iliya Kefas, chairman of the State Environmental and Sanitation Agency, expressed concerns over the increasing presence of straying animals on major roads and residential areas. He warned livestock owners to take immediate action to restrict their animals' movement to avoid penalties.
