Tchologo: Over 500,000 Hectares Secured and Youth Trained in Sustainable Rural Employment

On September 26, 2026, in Ferkessédougou, interim AFOR director general Marc Koffi Gnalhey announced that the PRESFOR program had secured over 509,000 hectares in the Tchologo region, surpassing the target of 456,871 hectares. The event included the distribution of land certificates and vocational diplomas to young people trained in land surveying, transportation, and construction trades to promote sustainable rural employment. Minister Djibril Ouattara emphasized turning these trainings into lasting jobs and highlighted the economic and social importance of land security.
