Tehran denounces police violence in Paris

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, condemned the repression of protests in France, criticizing the arrest of over 2,000 protesters and calling for an investigation into police violence. He accused Paris of double standards and noted that this statement comes amid already tense diplomatic relations between Paris and Tehran. Iran has previously issued a reproach to Western capitals regarding these events.
