Telco jobs rebound as industry expands digital services

Kenya's mobile network operators increased their workforce by 46 percent to 11,660 by June 2026, reversing the previous year's decline. The Communications Authority of Kenya reported that employment in the telco sector rose by 3,672 positions from the 7,988 recorded at the end of June 2025, driven by the growing demand for digital services.
