Telecommunications: Africa finalizes its common position in Abidjan ahead of the Doha conference

Ivory Coast is hosting the fourth African preparatory meeting for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference from September 15 to 17, 2026. Representatives from African countries are discussing priorities regarding telecommunications governance and digital transformation. Minister Djibril Ouattara emphasized the importance of cooperation among African states to defend their common interests. Additionally, the fifth edition of the UAT Innovation Challenge was launched, with a prize pool of $60,000.
