Tell Him He’s Lying About Tithes, by Fada Oluoma

Fada Oluoma says tithing does not guarantee financial prosperity and that believers’ financial progress mainly reflects their hard work, as it does for people who do not tithe. He accuses pastors who promise wealth in return for tithes of manipulating their congregations, arguing that some pastors’ prosperity comes from members’ contributions or businesses. He describes tithing as a voluntary way to support the church, with no greater supernatural benefit than offerings, donations, levies or charity. He urges believers to tell their pastors they give out of commitment, not because they expect to become wealthy.
