Tesla Roadster: Elon Musk Announces the Next Two Major Demonstrations

After a public test in Texas on October 15, 2026, in which the Roadster drove upside down and jumped over five cars using SpaceX thrusters, Elon Musk described possible future demonstrations. He is considering a flight over Idaho’s Snake River canyon or, perhaps, the Grand Canyon, with the car landing on its wheels at more than half the speed of sound. Musk gave no date for the demonstrations; Tesla plans to begin Roadster production in 2028. The sites recall stuntman Evel Knievel’s failed 1974 Snake River canyon attempt, and Eddie Braun’s successful crossing in 2016 in a replica of Knievel’s rocket-powered vehicle.
