Textiles was my biggest business mistake — Dangote

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, described his investment in the textile industry as his biggest business mistake. He attributed the collapse of the textile business to inadequate policy protection and dumping by foreign manufacturers, particularly from China and India. The closure resulted in nearly 8,000 layoffs, with 6,920 workers from Nigerian Textile Mills in Ikeja, Lagos.
