Thailand deploys military to handle baggage crisis at Bangkok Airport

Thai Airways has called in the military to address a major baggage backlog at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport caused by heavy rain, flooding, and mechanical issues. The Royal Thai Air Force is deploying personnel to support ground operations, along with additional Thai Airways staff to clear the backlog. Passengers have experienced waits of 4 to 6 hours or more, with some arriving without their checked luggage. The airport remains open, but delays are expected to continue for another 2 to 3 days, and management is considering hiring more staff to handle baggage more efficiently.
