The bill on protecting children on the Internet submitted to the National Assembly

Deputy Alfred Dibandi Nzondomyo has submitted a bill to the National Assembly to regulate minors' access to digital technology, especially those under 15 years old. The bill includes strengthening parental control, protecting personal data, and combating online abuse, amid risks like cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and sexual solicitations. According to WHO and UNICEF, one in six children suffers sexual abuse, and one in five adolescents is exposed to pornographic and violent content online. The DRC aims to protect its children in line with international commitments and constitutional guarantees.
