The 'Bomoyi ya mama na muana' project was launched on August 31 in Mbujimayi, aiming to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. It is supported by the CNCSU, Vodacom Foundation, and UNFPA, and will be deployed in Kasaï-Oriental, Kinshasa, and Kongo-Central. The project includes the rehabilitation of maternity wards, improving access to drinking water, and training providers in emergency obstetric and neonatal care.
