The Equitable Party to Rebrand to Linda Mwananchi Movement, Sifuna Confirms

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna announced that The Equitable Party (TEP) will rebrand to the Linda Mwananchi Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections. The change has been agreed upon by the movement's leaders and supporters, but the party will retain its current name if obstacles prevent the rebranding. The process faced initial rejection from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties, but was later approved by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal, which ordered the reservation of the name. Sifuna emphasized the party's vision of Kenya where leadership is a responsibility and public resources are a shared trust.
