‘The fight is far from over’: Lesufi acknowledges Gauteng crime, governance and service-delivery challenges

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi acknowledged serious failures in service delivery and public safety while defending the province's progress. Although a 3% decline in violent crime was recorded, he emphasized that crimes like attempted murder remain concerning. Lesufi also announced investigations into officials responsible for public resource management, following irregular expenditures exceeding R558 million.
