The Congolese government plans to develop 22,800 kilometers of roads and railways to improve connectivity between key strategic corridors, including Banana, Lobito, and La Paix, as well as linking to the central corridor leading to the Tanzanian port of Dar-es-Salaam. Infrastructure Minister John Banza Lunda stated that this program aims to boost trade, facilitate mobility, and support economic growth nationally. The initial phase focuses on connecting these strategic axes to enhance regional integration and link the DRC to the trans-African corridor.
