The governor of Tshopo orders the end of military harassment at roadblocks

The governor of Tshopo, Paulin Lendongolia, ordered military officials to end harassment and extortion at roadblocks. This directive was issued during the first monthly public hearings in Kisangani. While some checkpoints are necessary for security, the governor emphasized that they should not be used as a pretext for extorting users. He also requested military commanders to sanction any offenders.
