The major new decisions made by national team coach Patrick Vieira

Since taking charge of the Lions, Patrick Vieira has been making visits around Senegalese football to observe its clubs and meet its participants. On Saturday, he watched the first-round league match between Guédiawaye FC and Dakar Sacré-Cœur at Amadou Barry Stadium; he had also visited Teungueth FC as it prepared for the African Champions League. Vieira has additionally met the Lionesses before or after their match against Tunisia, showing interest in women’s football. His approach recalls that of Claude Le Roy and aims to deepen his understanding of local football and its potential players.
