The National Assembly rejects the participation of AFC/M23 in the dialogue: "Can there be a genuine dialogue when some come empty-handed, while others still have their finger on the trigger?"

The National Assembly of the DRC officially rejected the participation of the AFC/M23 rebellion in the national dialogue proposed by President Tshisekedi. The Speaker of the Lower House, Aimé Boji Sangara, questioned the legitimacy of including armed groups in the dialogue, emphasizing that it should not reward violence. The Congolese government views the crisis as primarily security-related, involving Rwanda, and is relying on international agreements to resolve the situation. However, part of the opposition is calling for a more inclusive dialogue process.
