The ordeal of a Cambodian expelled to Eswatini by the USA

Pheap Rom, a Cambodian refugee living in the United States since 1985, was expelled to Eswatini under a program from the Trump administration. He spent at least two months in detention in this southern African country, questioning why he was sent there without any ties to Africa. Rom attempted to contest his expulsion by requesting a fair hearing with ICE, but his request was denied.
