Julien Paluku, the Minister of Foreign Trade, visited the Port of Dar es Salaam to assess the handling conditions for Congolese imports and exports. Tanzanian port authorities announced that nearly half of the freight processed is destined for the DRC and that processing time has been reduced to two days. Paluku advocated for interconnection between the port and Congolese public services in Tanzania for real-time tracking of shipments. He also emphasized the importance of investments in port infrastructure in the DRC.
