The price of gray cement bag set at 44,650 Congolese francs in Kisangani

The price of the gray cement bag of type 42.5 in Kisangani has been set at 44,650 Congolese francs (about 20 USD) following a meeting between the provincial government and economic operators on October 9. This decision was made after market prices surged to as high as 50,000 francs due to product scarcity caused by the low water levels of the Congo River. The provincial authorities also set the price of the type 32.5 bag at 39,950 francs (about 17 USD) to help reduce household expenses, warning traders to adhere to these prices under penalty of sanctions.
