‘The same fuel subsidy Tinubu opposed is what he wants us to celebrate’ — Actor Adeka

Nigerian actor Ray Adeka criticised supporters of President Bola Tinubu for defending his economic reforms when Nigerians complain about hardship. In a video shared online, Adeka recalled that Tinubu opposed fuel subsidy removal during the 2012 Occupy Nigeria protests under former President Goodluck Jonathan. He also questioned the celebration of subsidy removal, a wider tax bracket and the floating of the naira, arguing that the tax expansion would bring more poor Nigerians into the tax net.
