The SNT in motion: cocoa begins to flow into Ivorian ports of Abidjan and San Pedro

The new domestic cocoa marketing mechanism in Côte d'Ivoire, the National Traceability System (SNT), is beginning to show results. Between September 7 and 13, 2026, 38,000 producers conducted transactions using their producer cards, receiving the guaranteed price of 1,200 FCFA per kilogram. Approximately 600 cooperatives participated in the purchase and delivery of 26,000 tons of beans, thereby enhancing the traceability and sustainability of Ivorian cocoa, which is crucial for the European market.
