The Story of Karen Blixen and her legendary farm in East Africa

In 1914, Danish woman Karen Dinesen arrived in British East Africa after being rejected by her love. She married his twin brother, bought a 6,000-acre farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills, and cultivated coffee while managing workers. The farm went bankrupt in 1931 after failed crops and the death of her lover Denys Finch Hatton in a plane crash. She returned to Denmark and gained fame as a writer under the pen name Isak Dinesen, notably with her book 'Out of Africa'.
