The U20 Lions, the young generation carrying the hopes of Cameroonian football

Cameroon’s U20 Indomitable Lions won the UNIFFAC tournament on Saturday, October 24, 2026, defeating the Central African Republic 1-0 in the final. A free kick by Jean François Popess Manguele secured the victory for a side that had already qualified for the 2027 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana. Their run also included a 3-0 win over Chad and a 4-1 semifinal victory against Gabon. The team’s talent and determination have renewed hopes for a gradual revival of Cameroonian football.
