The Updated List: Since the Break with Sonko, They Have All Joined Diomaye and Kiiraay

Since Ousmane Sonko's dismissal on May 22, 2026, numerous political figures, including Pastef cadres, mayors from APR, local elected officials, and administrative leaders, have joined the coalition Kiiraay – Les Patriotes Républicains, launched on July 25, 2026, by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The coalition claims to have merged 437 parties, movements, and associations, with Aminata Touré as the main recruiter. Several defections from Pastef to the presidential camp have been documented, such as Cheikh Saad-Bouh Diouf, Khouraichi Thiam, Aliou Fall, and Ababacar Diagne, indicating regional shifts. Aminata Touré’s claim that over half of Senegal’s mayors have joined Kiiraay remains difficult to independently verify.
