The value of EU food and beverage imports from Cameroon decreases by 440 billion FCFA by the end of July

From January to July 2026, the European Union imported 787 million euros worth of agro-food products from Cameroon, down from 1.458 billion euros in the same period in 2025, a decrease of 671 million euros (about 440 billion FCFA) and 46%. Cameroon shows the second largest decline among countries, after Ivory Coast, which saw a decrease of 1.227 billion euros. The overall drop in EU agro-food imports is about 4.464 billion euros, with the decline from Cameroon accounting for roughly 15%, mainly due to falling cacao prices, which made up 90.4% of imports in 2025.
