“They’ve been here for a few days”: CAF officials spotted in Dakar—what is happening behind the scenes?

An inspection mission from the Confederation of African Football is in Dakar to assess Senegal’s bid to host the 2032 Africa Cup of Nations. Inspectors are evaluating sports, healthcare and transport infrastructure, as well as the country’s ability to meet its commitments before the tournament. The visit coincides with the Senegal-Sudan match, for which tickets will cost between 2,000 and 100,000 CFA francs and be sold exclusively online through Orange’s Max IT platform once final technical checks are complete.
