Thirteen years after the official decree, Luebo is still waiting for the implementation of its city status granted in 2013

Thirteen years after Luebo was elevated to city status by decree n°13/021 on June 13, 2013, the New Congolese Civil Society (NSCC) denounces the lack of implementation of this decision. NSCC coordinator Basile Mbanza describes the situation as an administrative injustice and calls on authorities to clarify Luebo's legal status. The NSCC also urges the government to take measures for the effective establishment of the city.
